I used to be really annoyed by Windows’ User Account Control. First introduced in Windows Vista, it’s that dialog box that pops up when you try to do things like install a program or edit a file in a system directory and other Windows administrative-type tasks. It’s less annoying in Windows 7 and it’s always good to know if and when a malicious program is attempting to run on your computer. Having said that, it still gets in the way occasionally, and if you really do want to turn it off, it’s pretty easy. Here’s how.
